Course Briefing

Revit is a software platform used for building information modeling (BIM) that offers a range of tools for mechanical engineering design. A Revit mechanical course would teach students how to use the software to create 3D models of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. The course covers the basics of Revit, including navigating the user interface, creating building elements, and adding annotations. Additionally, it will teach students how to work with mechanical systems such as air handling units, ductwork, and piping. By the end of the course, students will be proficient in using Revit for mechanical design and be able to produce accurate models and documentation for construction and project coordination.

Course Objectives

The objective of this course includes but is not limited to the followings:

  • Understand the basic principles and tools of Revit for mechanical engineering design.

  • Learn how to create accurate 3D models of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.

  • Develop skills in working with mechanical systems, including air handling units, ductwork, and piping.

  • Gain proficiency in producing construction documentation and collaborating with project teams using Revit.
